I've been thinking about expanding the table space available for Plarail for a while now. As it's a rainy bank holiday (i.e. public holiday) have put some spare bits of wood across our two coffee tables to make some more Plarail space. This allows us to get a much more impressive layout. Roughly 120cm x 220cm.
No coloured cardboard underneath this layout. I'm afraid our old card is looking a bit nackered, thanks to a leaky skylight, the boys spilling drinks, and general wear and tear.
There are basically three routes, with a 3-way auto points giving access to these.

Cool links
Just doing some browsing of other people's stuff and there's lots of cool things I haven't seen before.
There's this great-looking model railway-style layout from the Czech Republic:
All the original blue track has been sprayed green-black and gravel added. Apparently Revell, diluted interior - diluents C6000 worked best. Other combinations tended to come off.
Hiro Hamamatu's got this epic layout on youtube from a toy fair in Shizuoka City:
Carrick Wilmot's is selling his collection for £40,000!
For sale
Kafei Purataku (Plarail Otaku Cafe) in Tokyo might be worth a visit:
